The Finance Minister announced to install solar panels in 1 crore houses under Sarvodaya Yojana. Every household that installs solar panels will get 300 units of free electricity every month.

Presenting the Interim Budget 2024, the Finance Minister said that the government will also help the middle class living in rented houses or slums or unauthorized colonies to buy and build their own houses.
