While afforestation is being continuously accelerated in Gujarat, in the last two years, under the Regional Afforestation Program in Bhiloda Taluka, 6 lakh 5 thousand saplings have been planted in an area of ​​927 hectares at a cost of Rs 775.83 lakh in 55 villages.

Minister of State for Forest and Environment Mukesh Patel said that while the world is worried about the effects of climate change, the state government is working to protect the forests. For which special importance is being given to regional and social forestry.

Aravali’s Bhiloda MLA P.C. Baranda had asked a question in the Legislative Assembly regarding regional afforestation in the taluka, in response to which Minister of State for Forest and Environment Mukesh Patel said that 3 lakh 42 thousand saplings were planted in Bhiloda taluka under the regional afforestation program. In the financial year 2022-23, 582 hectares in 30 villages on which a total of Rs 468.07 lakhs were spent.

Similarly, in the year 2023-24, 2 lakh 63 thousand saplings have been planted in 345 hectare area in 25 villages, on which the total cost is Rs. Rs 307.76 lakh has been spent. That means, in the last two years, 6 lakh 5 thousand saplings were planted in 927 hectares in 55 villages of Bhiloda taluka, under which a total of Rs 775.83 lakh has been spent.
