Protesting farmer organizations got support from SKM

New Delhi, 20 February (HS). Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) has supported the Punjab faction of farmer organizations protesting over Minimum Support Price (MSP) and other issues.

This decision is a right step towards comprehensive unity of farmers across India.

SKM said that 27 farmers are committing suicide every day and young farmers are forced to join the ranks of migrant laborers to work for nominal wages in urban centers while 80 crore people are dependent on free ration under Modi rule. Therefore, the biggest solidarity of the farmer movement against the corporate forces is the need of the hour.

SKM said that the organization has urged all farmer organizations to support the farmers’ protests in the constituencies of BJP-NDA MPs on 21st February to implement the agreement signed by the Modi government with SKM on 09th December 2021 and to support the farmers.
