This new model of Mahindra Scorpio will enter the market soon, know the price and range


Mahindra has trademarked the Scorpio X name, which can be seen on the upcoming model. The brand had earlier said that the Scorpio line-up will expand with more models in the future. Mahindra had showcased the global pickup concept last year, which may be named Scorpio X after launch.

The Scorpio pickup concept was shown in South Africa last year. This model, internally called Z121, will be a global offering and will be sold in markets like South Africa, Australia and the Middle East. This new pickup, which may be called Scorpio

While some of the design elements shown last year were appropriate for a concept, the design of the production version is likely to be toned down. It will still feature a robust design with enough cladding and ground clearance for use in rough terrain. It will share some things with the Scorpio N for better economy of scale. These may include the front fascia, front doors and interior parts such as the dashboard, steering wheel, instrumentation and seats.

The production version will be loaded with features and technology including Level 2 autonomous driving, semi-automatic parking and 5G-based connectivity features. And as is the favorite in India, this pickup will have a sunroof. Also on offer will be Trailer Sway Mitigation, an ESP feature that detects when a towed trailer starts to sway and uses ESP intervention of the brake and throttle controls to counter it.

The new Scorpio It will come with 4WD and shift-on-the-fly technology as well as four drive modes: Normal, Grass-Gravel-Snow, Mud-Rut and Sand. Depending on the market, it will also have the option of petrol engine.
