Bhopal, 31 January (HS). The meeting of the Council of Ministers on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav started with the singing of Vande Mataram in Mantralaya. In his address before the meeting of the Council of Ministers, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal Link Project and thanked Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for gifting road projects worth Rs 10,405 crore to the state. . The members of the Council of Ministers greeted him by thumping the tables.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal Link Project, pending for almost two decades, will now take shape with the initiative of Prime Minister Modi. This will benefit 12 districts of Malwa and Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh and 13 districts of Eastern Rajasthan, the availability of drinking water will increase in these areas and water will also be available for irrigation and industrial use. He informed that in this project worth Rs 75000 crore, the state’s share is only 10%, 90% of the amount will be provided by the central government. Dr. Yadav said that the bhoomi pujan of the Ken-Betwa link project will take place in February 2024.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the gift of National Highway projects given by Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Gadkari will provide quick and easy road transport facilities in all the divisions of the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that a special task force will be formed for necessary coordination and implementation of the suggestions given by Union Minister Gadkari regarding agriculture and industry sector.
