Under basic education, Yogi government has made a provision of Rs 650 crore for providing free sweaters and shoes-socks to more than 02 crore students studying from class 1 to 08 and Rs 350 crore for school bags. To provide uniforms, sweaters, school bags, shoes, socks and stationery to the students under basic education, the purchase process will be stopped and the amount will be transferred directly to the parents’ account through DBT at the rate of Rs 1200 per child. Apart from this, the target is to give admission to more than 02 lakh children from deprived and weaker sections in the financial year 2024-2025, for which a provision of Rs 255 crore has been made. Secondary schools will be equipped with basic facilities

Under secondary education, a provision of Rs 516.64 crore is proposed under the Samagra Shiksha Yojana to equip all the government secondary schools of the state with basic facilities by 2024-2025 and to make arrangements for smart classes and ICT labs in every government secondary school. To encourage education, a provision of Rs 100 crore has been made under the Chief Minister Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme.
