Health Budget: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the interim budget for the financial year 2024-25 in Parliament today. Meanwhile, he made a big announcement in the Health Department and said that the government will bring vaccination to prevent cervical cancer. This campaign will be run under ‘Mission Indradhanush’.
Nirmala Sitharaman said in Parliament, ‘Our government will promote vaccination of girls aged 9 to 14 years to prevent cervical cancer. Presenting the Interim Budget 2024 in the Lok Sabha, Sitharaman said that many youth are eager to become doctors.
Sitharaman said, ‘Various schemes for the care of children will be brought under a comprehensive program. Under Nutrition 2.0, empowerment of Anganwadis will be accelerated for better nutrition delivery, early childhood care and development and upgradation of Anganwadi centres.
Sitharaman said, ‘Our government is planning to set up more medical colleges using the existing hospital infrastructure under various departments. For this purpose, a committee will be constituted to examine the issues and make relevant recommendations.
