Hungary’s Rasowski wins his second open water world title – News India Live


Doha, 5 February (HS). Krzysztof Rasowski has won the men’s 10km open water swimming title at the 2024 World Aquatics Championships here on Sunday.

Hungary’s Rasowski, who has already secured his Olympic quota by finishing runner-up at the 2023 World Championships, won his second world title with a timing of one hour, 48 minutes and 21.20 seconds.

“It is an incredible victory and the conditions during the competition were perfect,” the swimmer was quoted by Xinhua as saying after the title win. After this title win, he is ready to achieve double success in men’s 5 km water swimming to be held in Doha on Wednesday.

France’s Marc-Antoine Ollivier took silver, 2.4 seconds behind, while Britain’s Hector Pardo missed the podium.
