: Hyundai has launched the new i20 Sportz (O) model in India, with a starting price of Rs 8.73 lakh (ex-showroom). This model is based on Sportz trim. It has been offered only with manual gearbox. It has both single and dual-tone color options but the dual-tone variant is a bit expensive, its price is Rs 8.88 lakh (ex-showroom). The i20 Sportz (O) has a 1.2-litre petrol engine, which produces 82 horsepower and 115 Nm torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox has been fitted with this engine. The new i20 Sportz (O) model is ₹35,000 more expensive than the base Sportz model. Three new features – wireless charger, leatherette door armrest and sunroof are available in this additional price.
The i20 comes in a total of five trims – Era, Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta (O), priced between ₹ 7.04 lakh to ₹ 11.21 lakh (ex-showroom). Now i20 Sportz (O) has also been added to these. Let us tell you that it competes with Maruti Baleno and Tata Altroz in the market. However, the highest selling among these is Maruti Baleno. The price of Baleno ranges from Rs 6.61 lakh to Rs 9.88 lakh (ex-showroom). It is available in Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha trims. It is available in 6 colors – Nexa Blue, Pearl Arctic White, Grandeur Grey, Splendid Silver, Opulent Red, Lux Beige and Pearl Midnight Black.
It also has a 1.2-litre petrol engine. Hyundai’s sales in January: Hyundai has recorded its highest sales ever in January 2024. This year, 14% more vehicles have been sold as compared to January last year. 50,106 vehicles were sold in January 2023, whereas in January this year this number has increased to 57,118.
