Imran Khan may be hanged, eyewitnesses identified him as the mastermind of the attack on Pak Army positions – News India Live

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, who is being swiftly convicted and sentenced by Pakistani courts, may also be hanged. Eyewitnesses have described 71-year-old Imran Khan as the mastermind of the attacks on military targets on May 9 last year. This has increased their problems further. The News18 report quoted top sources close to the Pakistani military establishment as saying that none of these eyewitnesses have been promised any concessions, directly or indirectly.

Just before the general elections in Pakistan, on one hand Imran Khan has been jailed for a total of 34 years in four cases, while on the other hand he is being established as the mastermind of conspiring against the country and attacking military establishments. Certainly it can have an impact on the elections. On May 9 last year, PTI workers had vandalized a dozen military installations, including Jinnah House (Lahore Corps Commander’s House), Mianwali Airbase and the ISI Building in Faisalabad. Not only this, the army headquarters in Rawalpindi was also attacked.

However, Khan has been claiming that the attack on military targets was part of the London Agreement. Imran Khan is calling the army’s attempt to bring former PM Nawaz Sharif to power once again as London Agreement. They allege that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif has the support of the powerful Pakistani army.

Let us tell you that till now a case has been registered against 100 people in connection with the attack on military bases. The rate of conviction of the accused in this case is 90 percent. At present, the Supreme Court has banned military courts from giving decisions. If the military court takes action against Imran Khan in this case, then there is every possibility that he may be given death sentence because the history of Pakistan has been such that anyone who challenges the Pakistani army does not last long. Can’t find it. Is. A person found guilty can be given the death penalty under Section 59 of the Pakistan Army Act. This section is used for civil offences.

Sub-section 1 of Clause D of the Army Act makes this law even more dangerous. According to this, if anyone wages war against Pakistan, takes up arms or attacks security forces, he will be prosecuted under this sub-section.
