New Delhi: Mary Kom Retirement: India’s legendary female boxer MC Mary Kom, while speaking to PTI on Thursday, rubbished the news of her retirement. MC Mary Kom said that she has not yet announced her retirement from boxing. Six-time world champion MC Mary Kom participated in an event on Wednesday, where the news of her retirement spread after her statement.
While talking to PTI, MC Mary Kom gave her clarification and said that her words have been misinterpreted. Mary Kom said, “I have not yet announced my retirement and my words have been misinterpreted. Whatever I have to say, I will say it myself in front of the media. I read some media reports in which it was said that I was retiring.” I am, but it’s not true.
“Even if I speak from the heart, there is a hunger to do something,” Mary Kom, 41, said at an event. I still want to compete and represent the country, but due to age I will not be able to compete from this year.
