Mixed signals from global market, pressure on Asian markets – News India Live


New Delhi, 05 February (HS). Mixed signals are visible from the global market today. During the last session, all three indices of Wall Street had closed with gains. However, today Dow Johns Futures seems to be trading with a decline. Like the US market, European markets also closed with mixed results due to last-minute selling after trading strongly during the previous session. Asian markets are generally trading with a decline today.

All three Wall Street indexes remained strong during the last session due to the rise in tech stocks. Dow Jones closed with a jump of 135 points. Similarly, the S&P 500 index ended the last session’s trading at 4,964.55 points with a rise of 1.19 percent. Apart from this, Nasdaq closed at the level of 15,638.93 points with a gain of 277.29 points or 1.81 percent. However, Dow Johns Futures today seems to be trading at the level of 38,570.52 points with a weakness of 0.22 percent.

The European market also remained bullish for most of the last session. But due to last-minute selling, one index closed with a slight decline. The FTSE index closed at 7,615.54 points with a weakness of 0.09 percent. On the other hand, the CAC index ended the previous session’s trading at 7,592.26 points, up 0.05 per cent. Apart from this, DAX index closed at the level of 16,918.21 points with a strength of 0.35 percent.

There is generally a situation of pressure in Asian markets today. Out of 9 markets in Asia, the indices of 2 are trading with gains, while 7 indices remain in the red with a decline. Nikkei index is trading at the level of 36,357.56 points with a gain of 199.54 points or 0.55 percent. Similarly, Taiwan Weighted Index has reached the level of 18,087.97 points with an increase of 0.16 percent.

On the other hand, GIFT Nifty is trading at 21,936.50 points with a decline of 0.14 percent. Similarly, Hang Seng Index has fallen by 0.05 percent and reached the level of 15,525.81 points. There has been a big fall in the Straits Times Index today. At present, this index is trading at the level of 3,127.09 points with a weakness of 1.66 percent. Similarly, the Kospi index has also slipped by 1.14 percent and has fallen to 2,585.62 points. Apart from this, Shanghai Composite Index is trading with a big fall of 1.85 percent at the level of 2,680.47 points, SET Composite Index is trading with a weakness of 0.03 percent at the level of 1,383.62 points and Jakarta Composite Index is trading at the level of 7,220.74 points with a fall of 0.25 percent.
