Orange alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department in 11 districts of Haryana. This includes Panchkula, Sirsa, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Jind, Fatehabad, Sonipat, Panipat. Crops can also be affected due to strong winds and rain.

Month of January and rain record

This year, January has recorded the least rainfall in the last 14 years. Meteorologists say that this is a rare seasonal change. After 2016, there has been less rainfall in January this year. Due to this the crops have also benefited.

Amidst this seasonal change, the government has issued instructions to private schools of Haryana regarding temporary recognition and assurance fees. This instruction has been given in the interest of the students, so that their studies are not affected.
