There is no difference in the process of making
You may be surprised to know that there is not much difference in the process of making English liquor and country liquor. Both are made from sugarcane or other agricultural products and the process of making both is almost the same.
First it is distilled after complete fermentation. After that it is packed. Most of the country liquor is packed in plastic pouches or bags or boxes. Whereas the packing of English liquor is different from the packing of country liquor.

If we talk about country liquor then it is purified spirit or distilled. No flavor is added to it. On the other hand, if we talk about English liquor, the companies making English liquor also take their raw material from the companies making pure desi liquor, but after that flavor is added to it.
And after packing it well, it is sent to the market whereas country liquor does not have any flavor. Desi liquor is known by different names in different parts of the country. The liquor named Tall Boy is very famous in West Bengal and Jharkhand and eastern states. It also has other names like Heer Ranjha, Ghoomar, GM Orange and GM Limbu Punch etc.
Sales of country liquor increased
Almost two-thirds of the liquor sold in India is country liquor. Let us tell you that about 242 million cases of country liquor are sold in India, which is about 30 percent of India’s liquor industry. The alcohol content in desi liquor is 42.5% but drinking it can sometimes be harmful because desi liquor is sometimes not distilled properly.
