America is keeping an eye on Pakistan’s election process, expressed concern about this



Washington. The US is closely monitoring Pakistan’s electoral process and is concerned about violations of freedom of expression, assembly and association there. An official of the US State Ministry gave this information. US State Department Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel said in his regular press conference that America wants wide participation of its people in the elections of Pakistan.

“We are closely monitoring Pakistan’s electoral process and, as we have said, we want the process to respect freedoms of expression, assembly and association with a wide range of participation,” Patel said. ”

General elections will be held in Pakistan on February 8. “We are concerned about incidents of violence and restrictions on freedom of media, freedom of expression, including freedom of the Internet, and freedom of peaceful assembly and association,” Patel said. “We are concerned about some cases of violation of freedoms in these areas.”
