A pedestrian was killed when a bomb planted on the footpath exploded. The body of an 84 year old man was found in a mutilated condition. It is believed that an improvised explosive device (IED) containing about eight kilograms of explosive was used in the blast.

SSP Jawad Tariq said that unknown attackers carried out blasts at different places in Balochistan. Many people including an Assistant Sub Inspector Ghulam Raza were injured in these blasts. The attackers threw a hand grenade at the Shalkot police station. The police station building and some vehicles parked in the parking lot were damaged after the bomb blast in the complex.
