Dehradun, 02 February (HS). Former senior IAS officer Suresh Kumar Bhandari joined the Congress party on Friday. State Congress President Karan Mahara got Bhandari accepted the membership of the Congress Party at the party headquarters on Friday.
On this occasion, Suresh Bhandari said that he was a senior bureaucrat of Union Territory cadre. Now after retirement, influenced by the ideology of Congress Party and Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, he has joined Congress Party and entered politics to serve the state. Whatever order the party gives him, he will follow it sincerely.
Congress State President Karan Mahara said that Rahul Gandhi has today become the pivot of democracy. He is continuously struggling with inflation. Be it the question of employment for the unemployed or the issue of women’s safety or the country’s declining economy or border security, the way Rahul Gandhi is fighting on every issue from the streets to the House is unmatched. He said that many workers and leaders of various parties want to join the Congress Party, who will soon be included in the party.
