Now you can create second profile for personal friends on Instagram, new feature will come – News India Live

Instagram is testing a new feature Flipside. Popular short video sharing platform Instagram is working on this new feature to make its app more private. According to Instagram head Adam Mosseri, this feature is currently in the testing phase. This feature will allow the user to create another profile through one account. Which will be for your selected friends. This profile will appear as an alternative profile to your existing profile. Stories and posts shared on this profile will only be seen by a certain number of friends or followers.

Instagram’s flipside feature

In a thread post, Instagram head Adam Mosseri confirmed that the company is testing a feature called Flipside. While replying to a user on the thread post, Mosseri said that he too is not sure whether such a feature is going to come on Instagram. On the one hand, it’s nice to create a clear space, which gives more privacy. A secondary account, on the other hand, directs users towards close friends or favorite followers. We will see what kind of feedback we get from users in the testing phase, after which we will decide whether to roll out this feature or not.

The feature has already been launched

Additionally, a social media consultant has posted a video showing off the Flipside tool. In this, Instagram is giving the facility to users to create personal space on their page. Where users can post more personalized photos and videos to a subgroup of their friends. That is, this feature has been started for some users for the testing phase.

The information was leaked last year

Let us tell you that developer Alessandro Paluzzi had given information about the Flipside feature for the first time last year i.e. in December 2023. The flipside feature means it’s a new space for you and your chosen friends, where only the people you choose can see your new profile, according to who posted the photo. Folorus can access any user’s Flipside account by tapping a button or swiping down on the main profile. However, there is no information yet about when this feature will be rolled out for everyone.
