Shortly from now, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is going to present the interim budget for the financial year 2024.

Before presenting the budget, many important changes have taken place in the country, such as investment in special FD scheme, gas cylinder prices, FASTag KYC etc. So let us tell you which major changes have been made from today i.e. 1st February.

1. LPG cylinder becomes expensive

On the budget day, oil marketing companies have increased the prices of 19 kg commercial gas cylinders. Now after this change, the price of cylinder in Delhi has increased from Rs 1755.50 to Rs 1769.50, while in Kolkata the price of gas cylinder has reached Rs 1887 and in Mumbai the price has now increased to Rs 1723. The price of a new gas cylinder in Chennai has become Rs 1937.

2. FASTag eKYC Deadline

The deadline for KYC (FASTag eKYC) for Fastag is being extended by one month. Now people have got one more month’s time to get the KYC done.

3. Dhan Lakshmi 444 Day FD Scheme

The last date of the special FD scheme named ‘Dhan Lakshmi 444 Days’ offered by Punjab and Sindh Bank (PSB) was January 31, 2024, the deadline of which has now ended. The first last date for investing in this scheme was November 30, 2023, which was changed to January 31, 2024 at the last moment.

In this special FD scheme, investors are being offered an attractive interest rate of 7.4%. For senior citizens, this interest rate is 8.05%, which provides them a great opportunity to generate higher income.
