Often in big matches, Bollywood celebs reach the cricket stadium like the audience and cheer for their favorite team. The cricket addiction among Bollywood celebs is so much that Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) was started in the year 2011. The 10th season of CCL is going to start from 23 February 2024. Actor Sonu Sood expressed excitement about this and also told an incident related to Manoj Tiwari.
Sonu Sood has been the captain of ‘Punjab De Sher’ team. He remembered an old match of CCL when Manoj Tiwari had caught him. Sonu told News18, “I remember a funny incident when once on the field I hit a shot in the air and within a few moments Manoj was about to catch the ball. I shouted, please drop it.”

Sonu Sood further said, “But he did not do so and later came to the crease smiling jokingly and said – Sorry, Paaji, sorry man, a mistake was made.” Speaking about the league, Sonu said, “For me, Celebrity Cricket League is much more than a game. This is an opportunity for us artists to come together and have a lot of fun on and off the field.”

Sonu Sood said, “Now, I am very excited to see what this new season holds for all of us.” Let us tell you, to celebrate this game, celebrities like Salman Khan and Mohanlal will soon be seen in Celebrity Cricket League. Salman Khan is the brand ambassador of Mumbai Heroes team while Ritesh Deshmukh is its captain.

Karnataka Bulldozers captain Kiccha Sudeep is the co-owner of Kerala Strikers, Mohanlal. While Indrajeet is the captain. The captain of Bhojpuri Dabanggs is Manoj Tiwari. Captain of Punjab De Sher is Sonu Sood. Boney Kapoor, the owner of Bengal Tigers, is his captain Jisoo Sengupta.
